These terms apply to the Ember stories subscription sold on this site.

What you get

Four short audio stories a month, written for what your child is going through and told through what they love, sent to you by email as audio files you can play on your phone, a speaker, a Toniebox or a Yoto. The first story arrives within 24 hours of subscribing, the rest roughly once a week. The stories are for your family’s private use.

Price and payment

€18 a month. Prices are final prices. You pay monthly in advance through Stripe, starting the day you subscribe, and the subscription renews each month until you cancel.

Cancelling

There is no minimum term. You can cancel at any time, effective at the end of the month you have paid for, on our cancellation page or by email.

Changing your mind

You have 14 days to withdraw from the contract without giving a reason, and we refund you in full even if you’ve already received stories. See our withdrawal notice.

Not medical advice

Ember stories are bedtime stories. They are not medical, psychological or therapeutic advice and don’t replace professional help. If you’re worried about your child’s health or development, please speak to your paediatrician.

Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the Product Liability Act. For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of essential contractual obligations, limited to the damage typical and foreseeable for this kind of contract.

Law

German law applies. If you are a consumer, this doesn’t take away the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live. We are not obliged or willing to take part in dispute resolution before a consumer arbitration board.
